the trend: leather shorts

We all know that leather is quite the rage this fall as it has been implanted into our minds by every fashion source. Turns out leather shorts can be amazingly versatile and transition well from day to night. Might be one trend this season worth investing in..Here are some looks I've created to show how one pair of leather shorts (tibi $585) can be worn in oh so many ways.

1. For a Sunday brunch: Leather doesn't have to always be bad-boy tough. By adding feminine touches like a soft and flowy blouse, the look becomes uber chic.

2. For a daytime stroll around the city (preferably, Paris!): By adding a simple tee and flats, the look is immediately toned down to a casual level. 

3. For a dinner date: Dress up the shorts with a lace blouse and a fantastic fur jacket. Keep accessories simple with a clutch and not-too-busy necklace since the fur is such a statement piece.

4. For a night out on the town: Adding some sparkle instantly takes the look to a glam-worthy level. Throw on some edgy shoes and a bold necklace and you're set!
